Unique in the Craftsmanship Wine Lunch

Tour of the Cave of Musco, excavated in Etruscan times and still used today after centuries to produce wine with ancient methods and utensils.
3-courses lunch at the historic residence
“Locanda Palazzone” paired with a tasting of our 4 “Orvieto Classico” wines, a comparison between past and present.

THE TOUR

The experience begins with a visit to the modern winemaking cellar where our “Orvieto Classico” Terre Vineate and Campo del Guardiano are born; it follows a short walk in the chestnut wood which introduces to the Etruscan grotto where the Musco is vinified with the old hand press, the flywheel pump, without the use of electricity and where, as usual, it is kept after bottling .

THE WINE LUNCH

The tour continues with the return to Locanda Palazzone where the lunch will allow to match traditional local dishes with our “Orvieto Classico” to enrich the taste experience.

The 3-courses menu with the use of local excellences and seasonal products from our garden consists of a traditional first course, a second course and an end of the meal, like a dry sweet,
all designed for a perfect pairing with wines!

Our “Orvieto”

Terre Vineate

Produced from small portions of land with excellent exposure, appropriate pruning that limits production, allow to obtain better clusters of Procanico and Grechetto to give the wine character and peculiarity.

Campo del Guardiano

From the most beautiful plot of our vineyards, this selection of Orvieto Classico Superiore is born, which is aged for several months in the bottle, demonstrating the great longevity of the wine and the potential of the territory.

Musco

From a very small vineyard planted in a promiscuous and traditional way with grapes mixed in the rows, “Musco” is not just a wine but the desire of those who with awareness, knowledge and ancient tools want to keep alive the story of a timeless story.

Vendemmia Tardiva

A wine that tastes of tradition, of native vines, of far away techniques. A delayed harvest when the grapes reach maximum ripeness, to allow the sugar content to concentrate, resulting in a sweet wine with an ancient taste.
